From Prompt to Motion
A Hands-On AI Video Workshop for San Diego Creatives
Watching another AI demo will not make you better at creating AI video.
Making one will.
On Wednesday, July 29, The One Club for Creativity San Diego is bringing 30 local creatives and marketers together for a live, hands-on workshop built around one practical goal: create an AI-generated video during the event.
The first event in our AI series explored what becomes possible when creatives learn to ride the algorithm. This time, we are moving from conversation to creation.
You will see how experienced practitioners approach an AI video project, from developing an idea and planning a sequence to writing prompts, generating shots, evaluating results, and improving what the model gives you.
Then you will put the process to work.
Create your own original superhero video!
For the workshop exercise, you will transform yourself into an original superhero and generate a short video showing your character in action.
The theme keeps the creative brief focused, visual, and fun. The skills behind it are practical: establishing a concept, planning shots, directing movement, maintaining intention, troubleshooting generations, and moving from a static idea into motion.
You will work independently, but you will not be left alone with a blinking prompt box. The instructors will circulate throughout the creation period to answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and help you make stronger decisions.
Led by AI video Experts:
Robbie Norris, Executive Creative Director of Zap will lead the workshop and share an expert-led approach to AI video creation informed by real creative-production experience.
He will be joined by 10zebra founder Philip Meier, who will co-present and help facilitate the workshop using 10zebra’s browser-based AI video workflow.
10zebra is also providing free video-generation credits for every attendee to use during the event.
This is not a coding class, platform sales presentation, film screening, or two-hour panel about the future. It is a working session designed to help you make something yourself.
You will leave with:
An AI-generated video you created during the workshop
Practical prompting templates
An AI video workflow guide
A curated list of tools to continue testing
Experience moving from an idea to a planned and generated video
A clearer understanding of how practitioners evaluate and improve AI video
Greater confidence using AI video-generation tools
Free 10zebra video-generation credits for the workshop
First-time AI video users are welcome. The workflow presentation and templates will give you a clear place to begin.
Already experimented with AI video? Bring the generations that feel random, inconsistent, or difficult to control. The workshop will help you think more deliberately about planning, prompting, iteration, and creative direction.
The workshop is deliberately capped at 30 attendees so the instructors can answer specific questions and help participants work through the problems that appear while they are creating.
