
Learn about a creative career in UX Design from New York City-based UX Designer Margaret Padilla. Margaret graduated from Elon University in 2011 with a BA in Strategic Communications and minors in Business and Spanish. After graduating, Margaret started her professional career in marketing but knew something was missing. She explored everything from the medical field, architecture, and even zoology in search of her next career step until she stumbled across user experience design. Margaret studied design at San Diego City College and worked at San Diego agencies Mirum and Elevated Marketing before moving to New York to work at Capital One.
Margaret currently works as a UX Designer at Google, where she’s designing the future of electronic payments through GPay. She also worked on Google Assistant, helping users discover and adopt new ways to use Google Assistant in their daily lives.
